A short history →

Originally from the Philadelphia area and now based in Los Angeles, Nick Lynch is a guitarist, producer, and music director with a B.M. from USC’s Thornton School of Music. He picked up a three-quarter-size guitar at four and never really put it down. By elementary school he was taking guitar solos in the jazz band, sneaking rock and neo-soul riffs into rehearsals, and filling in on drums or bass whenever the rhythm section needed a hand. A steady diet of everything from the Beatles and D’Angelo to Tool and Dolly Parton shaped an ear that values curiosity over genre. Writing and producing in high school rounded out that broad musical palette—and taught him the self-sufficiency it requires. At eighteen he moved to LA to pursue music full-time.

At USC, Nick became known for making things work on—and off—the stage: producing tracks for collaborators, designing inventive playback rigs, and coaxing analog warmth from vintage preamps and quirky outboard gear. He fronts an indie-rock outfit, leads house bands, and consults on live-show playback systems for fellow artists. Whether arranging strings and horns or chasing feedback through a cranked amp, his aim is the same: make every note feel lived-in, honest, and hard to ignore. Collaborating around every corner led him to form relationships, and work with numerous artists in the field—from Raphael Saadiq, to people his own age like Grey Dugan and Michele Lu.

When the gig ends, you’ll find him swapping pickups, refining stems, or planning the next show—still chasing that perfect blend of analog soul and digital precision.

I’ve always wanted to be more than a “guitar guy.” If there’s a mic to move, a chart to write, or a tune to glue together, I want to be the one who can step in and get it done. Versatility isn’t just a résumé word; it's a necessity.
